Freedom Boat Club members significantly reduce their purchase, maintenance and running costs of a boat by sharing these costs with other likeminded boating enthusiasts.
Better yet, we understand that setting up and cleaning a boat after use takes a lot of time, so we do all the running around for you. All this for a fixed cost that is a fraction of owning your own boat.
All you do is:
Turn up, and turn the key
Have fun on the water with your friends and family
Arrive back at the dock, and throw us the keys
Frequently Asked Questions
How does membership work?
Freedom Boat Club gives you all the fun of boating, without the ownership hassles! Instead of buying a boat, you become a member. That means you get access to a fleet of well-maintained boats, ready when you are. Simply book ahead, turn up, and head out on the water. When you're done, bring the boat back and walk away — we take care of the rest. All you pay for is the fuel you use — it's really that simple!
No towing, no cleaning, no maintenance, no storage. Just more time enjoying the water.
How often can I use the boats?
As a member, you can book boats regularly throughout the year, depending on availability and membership level. Whether you're planning a spontaneous midweek cruise or a weekend on the water with friends and family, boating fits around your lifestyle, not the other way around.
What does pricing look like?
Membership includes an initial training and onboarding fee of $1,900 and an ongoing monthly fee that is customised to how you will use the boats. The monthly includes storage, insurance, registration, maintenance, cleaning and refuelling. Fuel is paid per trip, just like filling up a car.

Is a Freedom Boat Club membership better value than owning a boat?
For many people, yes — especially if you want to boat more and stress less!
Boat ownership often comes with large upfront costs, ongoing maintenance, storage fees and time-consuming upkeep. With a Freedom Boat Club membership, those headaches disappear.
You get access to multiple boats, professionally maintained and ready to go, without being tied to a single vessel. More flexibility, less responsibility, and far more time on the water.
Do you offer ongoing training & support?
Yes! And it's all part of making boating easy and stress-free. All members receive onboarding and training to make sure you're confident on the water. On top of that, Freedom Boat Club offers ongoing training sessions and safety refreshers to help you build your skills over time.
Whether you're new to boating or just want a refresher, our team is there to support you, so you can enjoy your time on the water with confidence, not guesswork.
No pressure, no judgement. Just practical guidance to help you get the most out of every trip.

If you're wondering whether Freedom is right for you, ask yourself:
Have you thought about buying a boat but can't justify the cost, maintenance, or storage?
Do you love the idea of jumping on the water any day of the week — without the hassle?
Are you over ramp queues, towing, and cleaning after every trip?
Do you not have the time to go boating because of all the set-up and pack-down time and effort required?
If that sounds like you, you'll fit right in at Freedom Boat Club.
